It is hard to be focused on something that does not interest you. I may not be interested in boxing and the result is that I may never box. But what we are interested in gives us the impetus to pursue that thing.
Within each of us there is a God-shaped vacuum. A place reserved for God Himself. A desire for the divine. We need to develop this desire, to the point that we become enthralled or fascinated to the point where we desire more. This will encourage us on to go for more of God.
