John 15:11 I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow!
God wants to place a deep, abiding joy in us. The result will be that our hearts will overflow with His joy. Remember one of the fruits of the Spirit is Joy.
Galatians 5:22-23 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; and here there is no conflict with Jewish laws.
John 15:12-13 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
As Jesus becomes real to us, we begin to show His love to those around us. We become the visible love of Jesus to those around us. We reflect the love we have experienced to others. In this way other people can come to know the same love. This same life-giving connected-ness to Jesus.
