1. WE CAN HAVE A FRUITFUL LIFE
John 15:5 Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can’t do a thing.
2. THE OPPOSITE IS ALSO TRUE
John 15:6 If anyone separates from me, he is thrown away like a useless branch, withers, and is gathered into a pile with all the others and burned.
3. ANOTHER RESULT IS ANSWERED PRAYER
John 15:7 But if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted!
4. WE BRING GLORY TO GOD
John 15:8 My true disciples produce bountiful harvests. This brings great glory to my Father.
5. WHEN WE ARE CONNECTED TO JESUS, HE SPEAKS TO US
John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
As we live in relationship with Jesus, He wants to speak to us. He wants to share with us the secrets of His heart. The phrase ‘MY WORDS’ speaks to me of the words that Jesus speaks into our hearts as we enjoy friendship with Him. What great joy to have the knowledge that Jesus wants to speak to us.
