Isaiah 9:6
‘For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. He will be called: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Our great God is also our defender. He is a great God who is mighty and awesome. In all of this He has not forgotten us. He wants to be our defender.

Deuteronomy 10:17-18 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.

We have this great defender in our great God.
