The Bible tells us that we will face days of trouble. These are times of distress and difficulty. It is in these times that we need to know where to go. We can run to many things and we can look for answers in many places, but there is a place we can run to.
Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea.
The Bible speaks of God in the following ways:
- An ever-present help in trouble.
- A very present help in trouble.
- A tested help in times of trouble.
Nothing has changed in this regard.
Isaiah 33:2 Be our strength each day and our salvation in the time of trouble.
