Are we really willing to listen and do whatever God tells us to do? This is the question that each one of us has to face for ourselves. I believe that there are many individuals who long for this.
Jesus mother, MARY, was one such person. She was willing to be and do what God wanted Her to be or do. As a result God used Her to become the mother of the Son of God. When we obey we never know what may happen or how dramatically God may use us.
Luke 1:38 Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true.” And then the angel disappeared.
The alternative to doing what God wants us to do is to simple do whatever we want to do. This action of doing what seems good unto us is a dangerous and potentially fatal way of life. We end up acting thoughtlessly without regard for others or the future. Living in this independent manner can be destructive in our lives. God calls us to live a life where we try and establish what He wants us to do and do what He tells us to do.
