A new heart

Daily Thought

Your Word for 03 May 2024

Psalm 37:7                  NLT
‘Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for Him to act.’

In today’s world the individual is considered to be sovereign. He can do whatever He likes and the world emphasizes individual independence and the right to do what the individual deems good in his own eyes. We are all influenced by the way of thinking.  As a result we need new hearts when it comes to this matter. That is exactly what God wants to do for us.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 And I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love. And I will put my Spirit within you so that you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.

We must also notice that the purpose of this new heart is that we will obey and do whatever He says we must do.
