There is something very interesting about this point. We can become a treasured possession to God. God is very interested in us.
Psalm 135:4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be His own, Israel to be His treasured possession.
You are valuable and precious to God and He loves you! He wants to place His treasure within us.
2 Corinthians 4:7 But this precious treasure—this light and power that now shine within us—is held in a perishable container, that is, in our weak bodies. Everyone can see that the glorious power within must be from God and is not our own.
The crux of the matter is that God should be the treasure we desire. The cry of my heart is for more of God in my life. As I have desired more of God and pursued Him He has become the treasure of my life.
Job 22:25 The Almighty Himself shall be your treasure; He will be your precious silver!
There are many rewards in discovering this secret.
Isaiah 33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.
The results need to speak for themselves.
Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
Let God become the treasure of your life!
