Where is your anchor? In your family? In your pastor/priest/minister? In your career? In your possessions and resources?
These cannot be a strong grounding for the anchor of your life. People and things will always let us down sooner or later. But God can be completely depended upon. Make sure your anchor is hooked to something secure.
Psalm 91:2 This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him.
Anchored in God! This is how we should live. Not anchored in anything else. If this anchor holds, then we will not be moved. We may be shaken, but not moved.
Proverbs 10:25 Disaster strikes like a cyclone and the wicked are whirled away. But the good man has a strong anchor.
Hebrews 6:19 This certain hope of being saved is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God himself behind the sacred curtains of heaven.
