Colossians 3:23 ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for me.’
This puts a very different light on things. We are encouraged to do what we have to do with all our hearts. This speaks about our day-to-day lives. We can do what we do as unto the Lord. If our everyday lives can be as though we were working for God, then every aspect of our lives can become an example of our love for God. This can make even the most mundane task something special. If we can apply this too our lives then we can apply it to other areas of our lives.
Luke 6:45 ‘The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil that is stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.’
What comes out of our mouths is a reflection of what is in our hearts. If I really love God, then you will hear about it. It will emerge from the way I speak. What is stored up in your heart, today?
Luke 12:34 ‘Where your treasure is there will your heart be also.’
