This is one aspect that can give us great courage and strength. When God speaks into our hearts and tells us what to do, we can move forward with great courage and inner strength.
Judges 20:23 And the Lord said, “Yes.” So the men of Israel took courage and went out again the next day to fight at the same place.
Look at the result of one word coming from God! This is what can happen as we hear from God in our day-to-day lives. These men had the courage to go out again, the very next day and fight again in the same situation. One word form God can make the difference in our lives.
To do the right things is not always easy. To do what is right calls for courage. But if we can know that God is with us we will discover that we have the courage to do what is right. It is easy to slip into sin and do the wrong thing. It takes great courage to resist and stand firm and do the right thing. Many of the great people of the Bible were called upon to be courageous.
2 Chronicles 15:8 When King Asa heard this message from God, he took courage and destroyed all the idols in the land of Judah and Benjamin and in the cities he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim, and he rebuilt the altar of the Lord in front of the Temple.
God wants us to take courage to do the right thing in our own lives.
