The character of God goes beyond just being mighty; He is also a faithful God. His faithfulness reaches out to you and me and He wants to prove Himself faithful in our lives.
Psalm 89:8 O LORD God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
God has not forgotten you. God wants to be faithful. To be faithful means to be loyal, constant and true. We can rely on God because of His faithfulness. We can depend on Him and we can trust Him.
Our relationship with the mighty God sets us up for success. The Bible tells us that if God is for us who can be against us. With God’s mighty hand on our lives we can anticipate the success that God has for us.
Psalm 71:7 My success—at which so many stand amazed—is because you are my mighty protector.
Have you ever felt like you need a ‘mighty protector’? There have often been times in my life when I have needed a protector and on each of these occasions I have seen His hand come through for me and carry me in a way that I still stand amazed at. When God is involved in our lives we stand the greatest chance of success. It may not be success in terms of the world’s idea of success, which is fleeting, but it will be the lasting success that only God can grant.
