To be saved has two elements:
1. The snatching us back from harm and danger.
2. The preserving and guarding of our lives from the things that would like to destroy us.
God wants to do both of these things for us.
Isaiah 35:4 Encourage those who are afraid. Tell them, “Be strong, fear not, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”
Psalm 27:14 Don’t be impatient. Wait for the Lord, and He will come and save you!
Don’t get impatient and don’t give up on God.
Hope is a confident expectation. A belief that God is going to come through for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Hope is a vital component of life. We cannot live without hope. God wants to give us a hope. Hope usually refers to the future. God wants to give us both a hope and a future.
