Isaiah 9:6
‘For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. He will be called: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Proverbs 14:26 ‘He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.’

The reward for fearing God is security. If we will fear God then we can experience His security. If our families will fear God we can enjoy security. If our nation will fear God we can enjoy God’s security.
But this scripture goes on and gives us a promise. It is an inter-generational promise. A promise for your children. Because of your fear of God your children will have a place to run to, a refuge, where they will be able to find security.
