As we face change in life we need to learn the key of staying flexible. Change seldom comes exactly as we would like it and it for this reason that we need to remain flexible.
I once heard someone say ‘Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken’.
An example of this type of flexibility in the Bible is the story of the potter and the clay. We need to place ourselves in Gods hands and become like clay. When God is working in our lives he often uses change to bring about the change that He is looking for. The key is to remain flexible and yielded to God.
One thing that I have seen over and over again is how people confronted with change in life can become hard-hearted. When our hearts become hard we cause ourselves even greater pain.
Ezekiel 11:19-20 I will give you one heart and a new spirit; I will take from you your hearts of stone and give you tender hearts of love for God.
God is looking for those who have tender hearts. If our hearts are tender then God can work with us and help us to move through and process the change we are going through.
Ezekiel 36:26 And I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love.
