You and I were created for and called to be influencers.  We are not here by default or by mistake.  We are here by DESIGN and God has called us and destined us to be the influencers in the world today.  It is our calling, it is our mission, it is our commission, it is our purpose and it is our destiny.
According to the dictionary influence is: ‘the act or power of producing an effect without apparent exertion of force or direct exercise of command.’  Another definition says: ‘the power or capacity of causing an effect in indirect or intangible ways.’  There is something about influence that is very powerful.
The most amazing thing is that each one of us has a ‘sphere of influence’.  Within this area we can have an effect on those around us.  Have you ever considered how you influence those around you?  Do you have a positive or a negative influence?
Every day we touch the lives of others in some way or another and every one of those interactions are another opportunity to have an influence for God.  John Maxwell says that: ‘Leadership is influence!’  When we use that influence to positively reach and touch the lives of others with the love of God, we are doing what we were destined to do.
