The Holy Spirit is associated with the Father and the Son on equal terms in the Great Commission!

Matthew 28:19  “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

He is stated to be God by Peter in Acts 5:1-4
“But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.  And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to LIE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?  “While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? YOU HAVE NOT LIED TO MEN BUT TO GOD.”  
As God the Holy Spirit is to be worshiped!
The Bible makes it quite clear in Revelation 22:9 where it says, “Worship God.”  If the Holy Spirit is God then He too is to be worshiped.
Down through the years the church has praised the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit in the doxology:

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Praise him all creatures here below.

Praise Him above you heavenly hosts.

Praise Father Son and Holy Ghost.
