Ezekiel 11:19-21 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD.
God is looking for those who have undivided hearts towards Him. They will know the blessing of being God’s people and know that God is their God.
TEACH ME YOUR WAYS – and I will walk in Your truth! GIVE ME AN UNDIVIDED HEART – that I may fear Your name!
We can ‘walk in His truth’ we can ‘fear His name’ we can ‘be His people’ and we can ‘know that He is our God!’ What a blessing!
Matthew 5:8 ‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.’ The word ‘pure’ comes from the Greek word katharós – properly, “without admixture” – without adding anything to mix! Speaks of an undivided heart!
