Daily Bible Verse:              Acts 26:16

‘Rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose…’

- The Lord wants you to stand up in His strength and ability.
- He has a plan and a purpose for your life.
- You are not here by mistake or by accident.
- Be encouraged, He has chosen and appointed you for His purposes.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the reassurance that You have a plan and purpose for my life. I choose to rise and take hold of what You have for me. May my life be an instrument in Your hand and may I be a blessing to those around me. Amen.

Daily Bible Verse: Acts 26:16

1 Corinthians 15:25-26 ‘For He (Christ) must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.’

There is a process involved here. It is a process in which everything has to be put under His feet. This includes every aspect that would lift itself against God.

Isaiah 40:5 ‘And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.’
Habakkuk 2:14 ‘For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.’

Sin must be defeated. The enemy himself must be defeated. And ultimately death will be defeated and we will live with Him forever.

Isaiah 9:6 ‘For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Psalm 93:1 ‘The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.’

I fear when I see the future of the world in the hands of man. I rest when I see the future of the world in the hands of Jesus Christ. You can rest secure knowing that the final say is with Him. The government of all things is on His shoulders. He has the strength that is needed, He is armed with strength. He has the final say on all matter that concerns you. He promises can be completely depended on. He does not change like a shifting shadow. Someone once said to me: ‘How do you know when a politician is lying? Just see if his lips are moving.’ We live in a world filled with lies and deception. But God is not a man that He should lie. Because He reigns we can truly be at rest.

1 Chronicles 16:31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’

You and I can celebrate the fact the He reigns. We should be glad and rejoice because He reigns. We should triumph and trust in God because we know this as a reality in our lives. Let the fact that you are in a covenant with this great God bring you great joy. Don’t let your heart be tossed about by the prevailing fears and doubts. He reigns and so we can celebrate and trust in what He will do.

John 16:33 ‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.’
John 14:27 ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’

See Him today as the one who reigns over all things. See Him today as the one who reign over all aspects of your life. Never again allow the cares of this world to crowd out your confidence and faith in Him. He reigns and He will work all things out for our good.
