Daily Bible Verse:              1 John 2:17      (NLT)

'This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.'

- We live in a world that is characterised by constant change.
- Our earthly experience is temporary and fleeting.
- What is popular and essential today may well be irrelevant tomorrow.
- But when we do what pleases God, there is an eternal reward in store for us.

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my eyes fixed on You. May I not be influenced and drawn away from You by things that are temporary and fading away. I choose to do what pleases You. Amen.

Daily Bible Verse: 1 John 2:17 (NLT)
'This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.'

Daily Bible Verse: Hebrews 6:19a
'We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.'

The Lord is a faithful God. He is your keeper and the One who comes alongside to provide all that is needed. He sees your need and His plan is to step in and provide for that need. There is old hymn that catches this precious characteristic about God.

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"
  Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided -
"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!

May you also discover that from His hand you can receive all that is needed. His hand is open to give all that is needed, regardless if it is daily needs or long-term needs or eternal needs. He is YOUR provider.

He truly is the great provider. In the Old Testament there is a story about a man named Abraham who was sent by the Lord to sacrifice his only son. It was a great test for this man. But right at the end when he had passed the test, God miraculously stepped into the scene and provided for the sacrifice and his son was spared. As the son walked with his father to the place of sacrifice, the son noticed that they had nothing to sacrifice and asked his father where the sacrifice was, not realising that he was the sacrifice .....

Genesis 22:8 Abraham answered, "God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.

Once Abraham had passed the test and God had seen that HE was in fact first in Abraham's life, He stepped in and provided a sacrifice and the son was spared.

Genesis 22:14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."

I am here today to remind and tell you that God will also provide for you.
